What is taking up space in your head and is it serving you?
The old saying “ Who or what is living rent free in your head and are they paying rent? How much of our time and energy is taken with things that are not ours, figuring out stuff for others, prioritising their needs above our own.
So, the thoughts which occupy your mind, I wonder often they are based on your goals, your ideas and your inspirations?
Allowing thoughts, stories etc that are not yours, adds nothing to your life only takes away. It is very taxing on our body, it takes up space in our brains, so we don’t have any energy for ourselves and stops us from doing more positive things and taking care of ourselves.
Breaking the pattern is not easy, but being aware is a big start and catching yourself before too much time is wasted.
Here are some things you can do to try and take control of this?
Identify the tenants? If they belong to someone else, they go, they just go. If they are yours churning them over and over doesn’t change anything, so what steps can you take to change things?
Decide you are ready to claim back your space and let others take4 responsibility for themselves.
Ask yourself what do you want to think about or mull over? Is it a goal or a focus or a practice you would like to start.
Finding balance and setting boundaries is the secret sauce to a clear and free headspace.
